C9 Sacred Circle Dancing

Enjoy an afternoon in the Greenman garden experiencing the dances of Greek, Israeli, Sufi, and other traditions. Donna and Michael have danced and shared these relaxing and/or meditative dances in Europe and North America. No prior experience or skill necessary. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes. Snacks and refreshments provided. 2-4 pm. Rain date June 1, 2 pm.

C14 Spring Barn Party

Come celebrate spring with a traditional May Pole dance, as well as other outside games! We'll have snacks, punch, and an actual May Pole. The setting is a 19th century barn in a beautiful rural corner of Franklin county, just 25 min from church. There's plenty of grassy open space for children to run and play, while adults socialize. The more the merrier so bring your whole family & some friends too. $10 for adults, $5 for children

C15 Chocolate Tasting and Delicious Desserts

Let's celebrate CHOCOLATE on Saturday, April 4 from 2:30-4:30 pm at First UU. You will expand your knowledge of chocolate trivia and marketing and participate in a "formal" chocolate tasting, comparing milk and dark chocolates from France, Italy and Trader Joe's! See Gretchen's chocolate "collection" and, most importantly, enjoy delicious chocolate desserts, including items prepared by First UU dessert chefs Adrienne Novak and Pat Larson.

E2 Annual Spring Fossil Hike

Experienced amateur geologist/naturalist Steve Molk will lead the group to Cowan Lake State Park in southwest Ohio to find and collect our own Ordovician fossils. Who knows--we might find an elusive trilobite!! Possibly includes a stop at Deer Creek State Park for some different fossils.

E12 Magical Mystery Tour (Reprise): An Afternoon at ComFest

Turn up and tune in with past Board Chairs David Easter and Steve Abbott for another afternoon at ComFest, the alternative political & cultural festival that annually creates Three Days of Peace and Music in Goodale Park on the last weekend in June. Last year's participants still testify to the consciousness-raising that took place.
Bring your brightest tie-dye and your love of music, art, counter-cultural alternative media, politics and fellowship. All ages welcome. You can wander the park's Street Fair, music stages and exhibits at your leisure, but we'll stake out your crash-pad on a blanket in the shade. We'll cover dinner and a beverage from any food stand in the Street Fair, offer inspired/insightful music commentary, spin tales as believable as visions produced by chemicals, and provide lots of insider ComFest lore going all the way back to its origins on 16th Avenue in 1972.

ED1 CPR Heartsaver

Learn to save a life! This class from the American Heart Association is designed for nonmedical people to learn the basics of CPR for infants, children and adults. The infant part is optional for those who want it or need a credential for day care work. Class limited to 9 participants. Class length 1.5 to 2 hours. Date and time to be determined.

A restful, rustic yoga retreat taught by certified yoga
instructor Kari Gunderson. Participants must be able to get up and down off the floor. Please bring a mat or rug to lie on, and wear loose, warm clothing. Class will be outside, weather permitting. After yoga, enjoy a fresh tasty vegetarian lunch accompanied by
