E12 Camping Trip to Sterling State Park on Lake Erie in Michigan (Sept. 17-19)

We liked last year's campground so well we're going back. This year we'll stick closer to the park to allow plenty of time to explore the beach and the hiking trails. Side trips might include nearby historic Monroe (for history buffs), site of the largest battle of the War of 1812 and home town of General George Armstrong Custer, and more than likely an antique shop or two. We'll provide transportation, accommodations in the O'Neil tent camper, Friday supper and Sat. and Sun. breakfast. You pay for museum costs and other meals - still a bargain!

E14 Magical Mystery Tour (Reprise): An Afternoon at ComFest

Turn up and tune in with past Board Chairs David Easter and Steve Abbott for another afternoon at ComFest, the alternative political & cultural festival that annually creates Three Days of Peace and Music in Goodale Park on the last weekend in June. Last year's participants still testify to the consciousness-raising that took place.
Bring your brightest tie-dye and your love of music, art, counter-cultural alternative media, politics and fellowship. All ages welcome. You can wander the park's Street Fair, music stages and exhibits at your leisure, but we'll stake out your crash-pad on a blanket in the shade. We'll cover dinner and a beverage from any food stand in the Street Fair, offer inspired/insightful music commentary, spin tales as believable as visions produced by chemicals, and provide lots of insider ComFest lore going all the way back to its origins on 16th Avenue in 1972.
