UUMC Presents: The UUCM Mad Hatters Annual Auction
"Show me the money!"

This year's auction committee chairs are: Peter Kent and Sheila Donovan. Email auction@uumarblehead.org

Welcome!

Our auction is an important fundraising event for the church (and always a fun party), but it is also a great way to bring people together. Do you have a special talent or skill or a unique item to donate? Can you host a dinner? Does this sound like a fun project to be involved in? Then you've come to the right place!
Yikes! The auction is only -566 days away, so it's too late for changes to your items to get in the printed catalog, but please make corrections anyway - they will still appear on statements and bid sheets.
The Catalogs are Ready! Pick one up at the auction table in the Holyoke Room, and use it to plan your bidding strategy. We'll have them available at the auction too - Please share with a friend.

Lake House Retreat for UU Women Who Like to Think, Talk, Hang Out, Chill

Come deepen your connection with other UU women at my cozy lake house in Chippewa Lake, Ohio. This is a THREE DAY WEEKEND during which we collectively talk, relax, walk, play cards, color mandalas, visit an antique store, a second-hand shop, or the lovely gardens of the community. Plan a book discussion or yoga time, cycle for the ambitious! Or a camp fire! Or swim a little. With a longer period of time, we might get to the famous Cleveland Art Museum or an other day excursion. Lots of good food, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages will be inevitable. This year, however, I ask you to bring a little dessert, favorite snack, or beverage to share. I (Nancy) will provide the rest of the food, and we will probably have one meal out in a nice place nearby. Towels and sheets provided, just bring a change of clothes and a toothbrush! And a light jacket. Cottage is comfortable and has all basic amenities. Previous years’ experiences have made it clear that it will not be hard for us to find lots of meaningful connections. How often do we really get to talk? Nancy will be ready for you at 12:00 PM Thursday, September 14. Stay until Sunday September 17 until 2, or when the troupe of fairy god cleaners arrives. There is no internet service, but cell phone reception is decent, and Nancy has a hot spot. Food needs and preferences all accommodated with notice. Healthy food is the plan, with some fun stuff thrown in! Address is 41 Shadywood Drive, Chippewa Lake, Ohio. Chippewa Lake is Ohio’s largest glacial lake, an old and quiet, pretty community about 90 minutes from Columbus, almost a straight shot up 71N toward Cleveland, 20 miles due W of Akron. Carpool if you can, but there will be enough parking space regardless. The assumption is that full vaccination status for Covid-19 is a given. Only vaccinated people can be accommodated. We will follow CDC directives current for the time, adapt plans as needed. Plenty of out door space, separate sleeping areas for all.
