Andy Goldsworthy Art Walk - the Presidio
Invalid Image LinkInvalid Image Link
Step into another world, the 300-acre urban forest of San Francisco's Presidio. We'll take a 2(+) hour walking tour of Andy Goldsworthy's art installations. Andy draws inspiration from the location of his installations and uses materials found close at hand. His art is designed with the intention that it will dissolve into the earth over time, a reminder that all of life is a temporary gift.

Learn the history of the Presidio forest, and the process used to create Goldsworthy’s installations. Smell the eucalyptus. Look for some of the 30 species of raptors that call this place home. Walk on top of the thick branches of "Wood Line." Admire the 90-foot tall Spire sculpture. Readings and experiences appropriate for the day. You’ll return home knowing 15 people in a new way, so come to build friendships, too.

Guides will be available. Car pool together and lunch at the Presidio. Hearty snacks provided for the walk together. Leave from Davis at 10:30am and return between 5:30-6:00pm.

Sacramento’s Past and Present Immigrant Religious Spaces
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
Join urban geographer and co-chair of our Immigration Justice Team Robin Datel on a tour of religious/spiritual places reflecting Sacramento’s history of immigration. The exact mix of stops on the tour will be determined in part by research conducted in Robin’s urban geography field class at Sacramento State during the Spring 2019 semester. To be included will be places of worship in the Southside neighborhood (located just south of Sacramento’s state office district), which has been an immigrant reception area for generations. Japanese, Portuguese, Mexican, and Pakistani spiritual spaces are among those present. Other destinations will include temples, mosques, and churches in more suburban settings, which have become in many cases the new immigrant gateways.

The tour will involve travel by automobile and some blocks of walking. I plan to rent a van, so we can be together as we move around the city. We will have lunch in a restaurant in an immigrant commercial district, probably Little Saigon. We will return to Davis by 5 p.m.

The Last Train From Paris: A Dinner and Who Dunnit Murder Mystery
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
This one was so popular in 2016, we've decided to offer it again. Re-live that scene in Casablanca as the Nazis march into Paris and you manage to get on the last train leaving... We'll likely not have the pouring rain as in the movie-- but we'll definitely have a murder! Eight suspects are trapped in the dining car and -- over a delicious meal as can only be prepared by our European '40's-era chef, Roberto -- must figure out which one is the culprit. You will be provided your character (with dress-up suggestions), a script and plenty of libations to loosen your little grey cells -- and your tongue! Note: This game is absolutely dependent on having all 8 suspects present, so if for any reason you are unable to make the train, we ask you to give your ticket to another refugee, please. 8 0 000080.0 80 .00045E7 45 1/26/19 6:30 PM

Relive, or experience for the first time, the 60s psychedelic light shows as performed in the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. If you never saw one, a San Francisco light show was an immersive ocular experience for audiences and musicians alike. Come create your own psychedelic light show to the music of the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, or bring your own music. We provide the pulsating lights and music. US Cryotherapy Davis Whole Body Chamber Session 6-Pack
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
Have you been in pain, had inflammation, and felt stressed out at one time or another? Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) is exposure to subzero temperatures. Extreme cold stimulates skin sensors, activating a Central Nervous System (CNS) response. This causes the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain inhibitors and mood elevators, while the enhanced circulation activity (blood movement into and out of the core) decreases inflammation by clearing toxins and metabolic waste with a supply of oxygen and nutrient enriched blood to stimulate cellular regeneration (faster healing). Treatments have been adopted by elite athletes and pro teams for muscle and injury recovery. WBC is becoming nationally well documented as being used for the daily management of pain, inflammation, energy, and stress related conditions.

Certificate is good for 6 whole body chamber sessions.

US Cryotherapy is located at 2191 Cowell Blvd. Suite C, in Davis. Please call 530-757-2796 for more information.

StrengthsFinder Assessment and One Hour Coaching with Thomas Moore
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
This auction item is for taking a "Strengthsfinder" online assessment and then getting a one-hour coaching session from certified Strengths Coach Thomas Moore. See below for a Brief History Of The Clifton StrengthsFinder

The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment was created under the leadership of educational psychologist Donald Clifton. He wanted to identify the skills of the best of the best and to capitalize on them.

What he discovered lead directly to the creation of StrengthsFinder, a revolutionary tool for measuring talents. StrengthsFinder was first introduced to the world in 2001 with the best selling book, Now Discover Your Strengths. The updated StrengthsFinder 2.0 was later released in 2007 and is consistently (one of) the hottest selling books on Amazon.

What Does The StrengthsFinder Measure?

The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment helps identify the areas where you have the greatest potential for building strength. It measures recurring patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior. Once you are aware of your top five talent themes, you can leverage your Talents, and turn them into sustainable Strengths.

Thomas will help you explore your top five themes and guide you through a new way of seeing yourself. While traditional modes of thought tell us to build on our weaknesses, StrengthsFinder advocates building strengths as being much more rewarding and leading to much greater success in the long run.
